Hyve is a government-owned "source of truth" responsive application for Command and Control chat and collaboration needs. The application has core functionality that you would expect from other open-source chat applications, but with an interesting user interface that prioritizes the need to coordinate in multiple channels, and observe messages in bulk through the feed feature. Speed was prioritized for bandwidth-constrained environments, so portability and accessibility to the application were prioritized. Image attachments and a very deliberate message "acknowledgment" feature was implemented to reduce clutter and increase the accuracy of a operational coordination. The four "Collaboration Quadrants" can be selected as "Chat", "Feed", "Map", or "Other". The Map is an integrated service developed my another in-house product team. The Other selection allows community members to choose from seven different modules to develop custom collaboration solutions.
